Welcome to the California Senior Games Association (CSGA)—and to an exciting year of training, competition, and community. We wish all athletes, volunteers, coordinators, and supporters a healthy, active, and joyful New Year.
2026 is a qualifying year for the 2027 Summer National Senior Games in Tulsa, and California athletes will have multiple opportunities across the state to compete and qualify.
About the California Senior Games Association (CSGA)
The California Senior Games Association (CSGA) is the official state organization representing California within the National Senior Games Association (NSGA). CSGA supports regional Senior Games, promotes healthy aging through sport, and helps California athletes qualify for national competition.
Our work is guided by a dedicated Board of Directors, regional Games Coordinators, volunteers, and athlete representatives who share a passion for lifelong fitness and friendship through sport.
2026 California Regional Senior Games
California currently offers six regional Senior Games, giving athletes flexibility and access throughout the state. For 2026 qualifying purposes, athletes will be able to qualify in designated sports at the following games
- Bay Area Senior Games
- Pasadena Senior Games
- San Diego Senior Games
- Inland Empire Senior Games
- Encore Senior Games (Bay Area) – “A second chance to qualify”
Athletes may compete in any designated California regional Games for qualification opportunities.

How to Qualify for the National Senior Games
- Athletes must compete in approved California Senior Games events during the qualifying year – 2026.
- Qualification standards and age divisions follow NSGA rules www.nsga.com
- Athletes may qualify in multiple sports and events
Third Annual National Senior Games Week
National Senior Games Week is celebrated nationwide each March to honor senior athletes and active aging. The 2026 dates are March 16-22,2026. In 2025 the CSGA featured a zoom seminar.
