Happy New Year!
On behalf of the California Senior Games Board of Directors – Happy New Year.
It is hard to believe it is January 2017. But we've had a great year of competition, exercise, good health and lots of fun!
We are very proud that California was able to offer two California based competitions – Pasadena and the Encore Games to qualify for the 2017 Summer National Senior Games in Birmingham.

We continue to look for Facebook friends, please sign up for our e-newsletter and "friend" us on Facebook. Let's try to grow our "friends" to the 15,000 plus athletes we have in our database!
Our Board of Directors continues to ponder the challenge of raising the visibility of the Senior Games in California; in fact we think that the Senior Games may be the "best kept secret in town". You can help "spread the word" and invite your friends and colleagues to visit our web site and be part of our California Senior Games Facebook family.
The annual meeting of the NSGA will take place in Dallas in January. CSGA Board member, Brooks Esser will represent our California Games.
All the results for those who qualified for the 2017 Summer National Senior Games in Birmingham have been sent to the NSGA both for Pasadena and the Encore Games. You will receive a postcard from the NSGA telling you that you are qualified to compete and register.
This is a great time for senior athletes – with all the emphasis on the importance of exercise. You all have found the key to healthy living – congratulations!
All our best... and keep training.... Check out the calendar for Games in California. We hope to have all dates confirmed soon – as you know it all depends on the facilities, what is available, and what conflicts with National events.
Again…..A very Happy, Healthy and Peaceful New Year!
